About wine and other stuff

  I have always loved the occasional glass of wine and have been known to drink other types of alcohol as well.  I had pretty much given it all up around five to seven years ago.  Everything except the rare beer and the occasional glass of wine, but in December I started a health kick and nixed it as well.  The other day, I had a glass of wine with dinner (or at least attempted to).  I've gotta say it really doesn't hold that much of an apppeal to me any more.  I didn't even finish the glass!!  This goes for other things that I gave up in order to avoid cholesterol meds.  I no longer crave ice cream, cookies, chips, and other junk food.  Weird. Even though I read that this would happen, I still find it amazing.  I guess the point is that you can train your body to eat right.  FYI- I will once in a blue moon cheat (I love salt and vinegar potato chips).  I also eat a little piece of dark chocolate for desert once a day.
