This is just a place to share and vent. Hopefully, some day when they are much older I will let my daughters see my journey.

About the HUNGER GAMES movie
I went to see the Hunger Games on Friday. I was extremely impressed with the movie. It is one of the closest adaptations of a book for screen that I have ever seen. The sets were incredible, the casting was spot on, the acting was fantastic, and the costumes were amazing. It really left me excited and I didn't want it to end. I am not sure what it must have seemed like for the people who didn't read the books, as there were some details missing. The back story of Catniss' mom's breakdown after dad's death, the fact that dad taught Catniss to sing and hunt. There was very little about life in District 12. Peeta did not lose his leg. It didn't really go into the Gale and Catniss story from the beginning of the first book. I totally understand why this was done. A movie can never have all of the details that the actual book has. With that said, I read the books and didn't mind the gaps (I could fill in the gaps and follow along). I can't wait for the next one.
